Dynamic Systems

While a standard session of Dominia involves managing your empire autonomously, the game introduces structure and narrative via several event systems. Engaging with PUGNA, CURSUS, and MONUMENTA provides massive rewards and shapes your legacy.

PUGNA: The 40 Missions

PUGNA acting as the overarching milestone structure for the civilization. There are 40 categorized missions split into four distinct paths:

PUGNA Rewards

Every 10 PUGNA missions completed grants your Faction Leader a permanent, unremovable Trait buff (+5% to a specific area) that persists even through succession.

CURSUS: Daily Operations

CURSUS operations are short, randomized daily tasks that grant immediate, liquid rewards (Gold, Food, or RP bumps). Examples include:

MONUMENTA: Epic Campaigns

MONUMENTA are narrative-driven, scripted scenarios that drop you into specific historical epochs.

MONUMENTA Title Playable Faction Objective
The Punic Fires Roma / Carthago Survive the First Punic War. Historical starting borders. Severe naval penalties.
The Iberian Ghost Lusitania Play as Viriathus. Defeat 5 Roman Legions before your own assassination triggers.
The Ptolemaic Betrayal Aegyptus Manage a violent civil war. 50% of your starting regions begin in open rebellion.

EDICTUM: Server-Wide Events

Occasionally, Vorthon Games will trigger an EDICTUM. These are temporary global modifiers affecting all ongoing save files (e.g., "The Mediterranean Plague: All population growth halted for 72 hours" or "Golden Age of Trade: Market income +20%"). Monitor the main menu for warnings.
