Yes. Dominia V1 is currently in an invite-only Closed Alpha. We are refining the core AI loops and expanding the MONUMENTA campaigns. An open Early Access launch on Steam is planned for late Q4.
Dominia is currently designed as a deep, single-player Grand Strategy experience focusing on the AI dynamics of the 5 main factions. However, asynchronous PBEM (Play By Email) mechanics and competitive leaderboards for Speedrun / Domination modes are scheduled for Phase 3 of development.
The base game focuses entirely on the intense conflict between Roma, Carthago, Achaia, Aegyptus, and Lusitania. Future expansions (DLCs) will explore the Parthian Empire in the east and the Celtic/Germanic tribes in the north. Additionally, the Modding Workshop allows the community to add unlimited custom factions.
Currently, Dominia is heavily optimized for Windows PC (via Steam). Mac OS and Linux native builds are on our immediate roadmap following the PC 1.0 release. Due to the complex, dense UI of the strategic map, console ports are not planned at this time.
PUGNA is our milestone system. Unlike static victory points, PUGNA dynamic missions adapt to your civilization's current state. Completing them unlocks permanent trait buffs for your ruling family via the Forum Romanum narrative engine, ensuring no two playthroughs evolve in the same way.
